Dear Will,
Today is the day I'd been dreading since I found out you were coming into this world. Today is the day I went back to work. Everyone said nice things to me about having me back and missing me while I was gone, but I didn't have any nice things to say about being back. I couldn't bring myself to lie to them, so I tried to smile. I told one person that it was hard, and I had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom so I didn't cry in front of her.
Coming home to see your face, whether you're smiling and happy or upset or sleepy, seeing you makes everything all better.
I just want you to know that I spend most of the time I'm at work thinking about you, wondering what you and your dad are doing, wondering if your brain has developed enough to miss me, or at least wonder where that lady that feeds you sometimes went.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Will's Mommy,
ReplyDeleteYou are an awesome person, and a wonderful mom. Also, thanks for making me cry this morning.
Love,
Beth
*sniff*
ReplyDeleteAwww...I cried and can still remember that feeling...in fact, it hasn't changed much. Ain't love grand? I am glad Lorne is who Will hangs with, and that Will has such a very loving mommy. Heck, I miss him and think of him daily, and I had a very brief exposure. You and Lorne made a very dynamic person. Will Rocks!Hang in there. Jen
