On July 29 we found out Laurel would be induced on the 31st, so we spent the afternoon of the 30th with Will and Grandma Gail at Balboa Park, doing all sorts of fun things. First we had a picnic at the playground, then Will went on the swings.
(Though she looks like she's posing for our picture, we don't know that lady standing behind Will's swing.)
Then we went up to the Balboa Park Miniature Railroad. Will is a little train crazy.
Will didn't look terribly impressed, but he was whispering the entire time about the things the train was passing, and about the fact that he was on a train. He asked to go on it again immediately after our ride ended.
Then we walked over to the 100-year-old carousel.
"I want to go on that one!" Will said, over and over, as we waited for his turn.
He chose to ride the dog.
Then we went back to the train.
And back to the playground.
