Day 23

Today Will went to the beach, where he slept the entire time.

Then Deb held him at the apartment for awhile. He wasn't this upset the entire time.

Then he looked at this brightly colored thing.

Day 22 - 4th of July at the Ranch

Here are some things we failed to take a picture of on Will's first 4th of July:
-Uncle Dave holding Will for the first time
-Will watching his first fireworks
-Aunt Diana holding Will
-The four outfits Will pooped on before we left the apartment to go the ranch
-Cousin Deb holding Will for the first time
-Lots of other things that we now cannot remember

However, we did get a nice picture of Great Grandma Jo holding Will. Here it is:

And a picture of sleepy Laurel holding sleepy Will before bedtime.

First 4th of July picture fail.

Day 21 - hanging around the apartment

Today Will had his first tummy time. It took a long time for his belly button thingy to fall off, and then for his circumcision to be healed enough to spend significant amounts of time on his tummy.

Then Uncle Jon went home. Booo.

But Grandma Diane is here. Hooray!

(This picture is actually from Wednesday night...but whatever. Laurel and Lorne failed to take a picture of Grandma Diane on Thursday.)

Tummy time is totally tiring.

Day Twenty - The Beach

Will went to the beach today to watch everyone go swimming and play in the sand for awhile. He wasn't too interested in watching the digging, he decided to take a nap instead.

Will is still too little to go swimming, but Lorne didn't think it would be fair to bring Will to the beach for the first time and not let him dip his feet in the ocean. So he carried him out to the water...

Lorne went to dip him in, but realized his pantlegs were too long.

So he rolled them up, and tried again.

And we learned that ocean water is a great way to wake up a sleeping baby.

He was easily consoled by his dad, however. It seems that in his sleepy haze, he didn't realize that Lorne was the one that inflicted the evil ocean upon his feet in the first place.

He spent the rest of the time at the beach napping on mom's lap.

Meanwhile, Emma worked on burying her leg in sand.

Day Nineteen - Back at the Ranch

On Tuesday everyone went up to the ranch to see Great Grandma Jo and pick up Grandma Gail. Emma, Jon, and Lorne went swimming while Will had some lunch, then Marla and Joellen came over.

Jon got overloaded with children momentarily.

Will enjoyed hanging out with Great Grandma.

Emma stole someone's sunglasses.

Then we went back to San Diego and Will hung out with Grandma Gail for awhile since she was getting ready to head back to Seattle.

Day Eighteen - Jonathan and Emma Visit

Will was very excited to get a visit today from his Uncle Jonathan and Cousin Emma.

Emma was very excited herself to hold her new cousin.

Then she was nice enough to show Will how to use the Tigger toy she gave him.

Day Seventeen - Introducing the Mariners

Following close on the heels of his first Twins game, Will went to his first Mariners' game today.

Surprisingly, the M's won a game for Will. We think he should enjoy it while he can.

Then we told him how the Mariners' have been doing the last couple years, and he was sad.

This whole ordeal tired out Mommy, but Will was still wide awake.
