On Sunday, we had an "I don't have to run" day.
On Monday, Evie went on the swing at the playground for the first time.
She and Will then went on the slide.
So brother, how does this thing work?
On Tuesday, we walked like Egyptians.
On Wednesday, Will played Angry Birds on my phone.
Evie looked on in jealousy.
On Thursday, Evie didn't knock down Will's bucket of trains and then play with his trains. No sir. Not her.
Will decided to hide his favorite toys from her.
On Friday, I let Will hold Evie. Evie looks a little alarmed, doesn't she? Perhaps she is psychic and can see three seconds into the future, where Will decides he's tired of holding her and puts her on the floor. On her face.
Evie was okay, if a little drooly.
On Saturday, Evie discovered that she could get her toes into her mouth.
Will created a game called "Ball the Barrel." For those of you that would like to play along at home, here's how it works: 1) stack up your plastic barrels into a tower; 2) find a soft ball; 3) take turns throwing the ball at the tower; 4) receive "good job!!!" points from your two-year-old upon successfully knocking down barrels. Note: if a barrel falls down and then stands itself back up in another place it does not count as a fallen barrel. Will was very strict about this rule. I felt that this was unfair, but Will wouldn't budge. I guess when you make up your own game you can be stringent about the rules.
Here's Will (with a messy face) showing you a regulation Ball the Barrel ball. (You can see one of his tower configurations in the background.)
Also, I thought Evie's outfit today was cute. She looks kind of angry with me though, doesn't she? SORRY YOU CAN'T HAVE CUPCAKES YET, EVIE.
